Dan Gelber to Discuss Florida's Constitutional Revision Commission
at the 2016 Sayfie Review Summit
The Sayfie Review Florida Leaders Summit is honored to announce that former state legislator and federal prosecutor Dan Gelber will be a featured speaker at this year's Summit.
Dan will discuss his expectations for the Florida Constitutional Revision Commission, which will convene in 2017. The Commission convenes every 20 years, and will have the authority to place Constitutional Amendments directly on the Florida ballot.
Gelber spent a decade as a state legislator, first in the Florida House of Representatives, where he was elected House Minority Leader, and then in the Florida Senate. Prior to seeking elective office, Gelber served as chief counsel for a U.S. Senate committee and as an assistant U.S. attorney in Miami. Gelber is currently a founding partner at the Gelber Schachter & Greenberg law firm, and remains actively engaged on Florida public policy issues.
Being held for the first time in a presidential election year, the 2016 Summit will bring together Florida's top business, government, news media, non-profit and academic leaders to consider and discuss the most impactful ideas, issues and trends facing our state and nation.
